Highlights include:

• Review of current issues affecting the collection industry being considered by the California Legislature

• Preparation for visits to the Capitol – including how to make the most of your visits.

• Presentation by a member of the California Legislature

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visit to the California State Capitol

Meet with Legislators and attend committee hearings

4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Legislative Debriefing of Capitol Visits

 

6:00 p.m. Scholarship Banquet

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Legislative Breakfast: Join your colleagues for breakfast and a talk from one of the legislative leaders at the Capitol.

9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Credit Bureaus: Ask the Experts

How are the credit bureaus handling your disputes, what are their thoughts on credit repair companies and have they changed their policies in light of the Pinto case? 

Representatives from Transunion and Experian will participate in a panel discussion to answer these and other questions you may have.

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CAC General Session and Board of Governor’s

This informative business session will provide information from the various CAC committees. Find out what direction your association is going. Attendees regularly comment that the information they hear during this session has immediate positive impact on their business.

12:30 p.m. Executive Committee Wrap-up

The Hyatt Regency Sacramento is conveniently located across from the State Capitol and is adjacent to Sacramento’s trendiest nightclubs, restaurants and shopping. The Hyatt has reserved a block of rooms for the CAC at the special group rate of $189 (plus tax) for single or double occupancy. To receive this special group rate, contact the Hyatt today, by calling central reservations at 1-800-233-1234 and identifying yourself as a member of our group. Be sure to make your reservations by March 30, 2008. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate available basis. This is an extremely busy time in Sacramento so make your reservations today. Once CAC’s block is full, or the cut-off date passes, rates can easily jump to over $200. Self-parking is $17 per day and valet is $25 per day.
